Nicholas Ingate
Nick Ingate is a partner at the projects*, a global brand consultancy with offices in Sydney, London, New York and Los Angeles. Nick was formally a producer at Thomson Street, one of Australia’s top event agencies where he worked with clients including Audi, Sony and ghd before re-locating to Los Angeles in 2011 to launch the projects* in the USA.
the projects* is a brand consultancy that translates culture to create brand love. We do this through Content, Design, Experiences, Influence and Strategy. Our current clients include - Equinox, Target, Moet & Hennessy, Calvin Klein, Absolut Vodka, Barneys, Conde Nast, and Coach.
Currently Nick serves as Chairman for the West Hollywood Design District Business Improvement District BID. The WHDD BID is a cultural destination located at Melrose Avenue, Robertson Boulevard and Beverly Boulevard, featuring high-caliber design, art, fashion, dining, beauty and more. The primary role of the BID is to advance the commercial growth, development and business community of West Hollywood.
More recently, Nick has partnered with the Australian Government and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to nurture, develop and accelerate young innovators looking to expand globally. He has been instrumental in creating the G’Day USA Emerging Innovators Xchange in the USA, where young Australian entrepreneurs are recognized and awarded for their achievements in innovation and social impact. His vision is to create the World Innovation Summit, an annual global event to be held in Sydney, Australia taking cues from The World Economic Forum in Davos.
In his spare time, Nick plays rugby with the Beverly Hills Rugby Club, which is one of the fastest growing 7’s rugby clubs in the USA. He also helped launch the West Coast chapter of the Cyclones Bicycling Club, which is a not-for-profit bicycle riding tribe that recently raised $45,000 for a bike share program in Tanzania, Africa.
